And yet the tomes contain some wonderful examples of bringing research evidence to the attention of policy-makers, and of translating that evidence into a form easily digestible by them and by the public (surely the sign of a successful knowledge broker).

The extreme temperatures, low humidity and strong winds did not override the other elements of connectivity, or more accurately, disconnectivity, that were at play in all the places where no destruction took place.

[GM-VOLT : Chevy Volt Electric Car Site] Head to Head Test Drive: 2010 Prius vs 2010 Insight w/ Video: After hearing Lyle’s range anxiety story in his Mini, and that’s just one guy who’s had an EV for 1 month, multiply the factors by millions of EVs that they are hoping to sell, and over 2-3 years…I guarantee there will be EV horror stories taking the country like wildfire. Well, I started picturing naked Terry dancing under the moon, and before I could say "attention please"...started singing the Gilligan's Island theme song...it cracked up the party and got the attention needed to make the speech...I wasted all that money on the new boots...I could have just worn my red shirt and fishing cap....
