Word of Piehttp://wordofpie.wordpress.com/2008/07/21/enterprise-20-what-why-and-knowledge-management/ [Word of Pie] Too much information can be a problem.  Information needs to be transformed into knowledge.  With structured data, this can be done through reports and business intelligence tools.  With unstructured data, aka CONTENT, this is best done by people tagging and collecting.  As search technology matures, it will be able to do this for us, at least better than it does now.  This is an old-fashioned Knowledge Management goal.

We'll see more of this failure documentation over the next year, both as a way to set off why this or that big firm or vendor as different and as an "I told you so" from naysayers.

Selil Bloghttp://selil.com/?p=243 [Selil Blog] A response to the DARPA national cyber range BAA: It is achievable in the short term by simply understanding the multiple layers of network that will actually exist. The “model” network (think tincture, atoms, stuff being treated) will be the state to be experimented on, the “management” network will provide the instrumentation of the network and set up functions (it’s the beakers, vials, and Bunsen burners), the “observation” network (think oscilloscopes, volt meters, etc..) is the sensor systems that allow for data to be collected.
