E-Business Library > Can Twitter Serve as a Personal Knowledge Management Tool?
[Content Management Connection] Like I said, both Favourites and retweets are two of the features I treasure the most from Twitter and if I would want to see this tool become part of my Personal Knowledge Management tools suite I need to give it a bit more persistency as well as re-findability, and, although I can understand how some people may not be happy with me taking retweets out of Twitter, I do hope it will stick around. It would be too bad letting those retweets died a short, sudden death, just because Twitter doesn’t want to know better.

[Second Thoughts] Second Thoughts: Socialware, The Next Stage of Computing and ...: So whether examining the creepiness of Twitter or the swaggering of MMOX or the social media gurus and lefty journos stepping on each other to get into power around Obama, I am more and more impressed that socialware has to have welded into it not the point of view of geeks or leftoid early adapters (such "misfits" as Kapor calls them can just as well be right-wing kooks and far-out Extropians, but there are less of them), but good governance rules that make it possible for them to become self-aware, self-reflective, and self-corrective as well as collaborative and deliberative with the aim of building informed consensus with tolerance of dissent.

[seth simonds] Why I Unfollowed 45000 People On Twitter | seth simonds: I use tweetdeck for convienance not for filters,I like the spread sheet format and the search engines are good for grabing tweets that are points intrest and can run several at once thus creating a frend finder in a maner of speaking, I have only un followed a few so far unly the ones who so enwraped there cant do eneything els but spam, I am still weeding them out, and that guy who wants to overthrow the government of Brittania by killing his father. but for the most part I found I can use tweetdecks group feature to colomnize the people who are most important, and let the all frends colom take the bulk.

[Carsonified » Blog] Carsonified » Top 10 UX Myths: I mostly agree with Myth #2 (People Don’t Read) and always practiced design with the idea that if a UI relies on text, it’s a failure. However, recently I noticed (over and over again) that most usability test participants DO read the text on the screen (in my case a persistent message area at the top of a touch screen) ONLY after they have tried everything else.
