They cover the spectrum of life (and strife) as an attorney, "including but not limited to" ridiculous hours and the other sacrifices lawyers (and their families) make, headhunters and lateral movement, client relations, the adversarial system, the art of negotiating, time records and bills, meeting deadlines, document reviews, legal reasoning and argument, cross-examination, business travel, and year-end bonuses.

Gates Project 19: Considering e-Government

http://internationaldemoblog.blogspot.com [DemoBlog] According to i4donline, the Council of Ministers allocated $800 million for an e-government project that will bring 150 government service and 1,000 "subsidiary services" under an e-government system. I doubt this new system will allow citizens to take any part in the higher functions of govern like law-making and oversight in the famously opaque monarchical system.

Scots trump Miliband’s podcast initiative

http://simondickson.wordpress.com [ I’m Simon Dickson.] He’s doing a series of short down-the-line interviews with The Guardian, from the UN’s climate change conference in Kenya. As ever, Miliband comes across very well, keen to engage with the general audience (helped, it must be said, by a fairly soft interviewing style).

Why VARs need councilling

[E-Government News] The results of the survey show how councils have diversified into distinct groups that all need an integration solution: councils that do not know how to integrate back-office systems into the main CRM system, and councils that would like to exploit new technologies, but have yet to implement an integration strategy.
