Professional Blogging - A Review Part I - Don't Give Up
[BlogSpinner - A How-To Guide To Spinning Blogs] I'm only speculating, but sites with shorter posts that do not provide all the information that readers are looking for might be likely to induce readers to click on links, particularly ad links. I'm hoping this isn't true, as I tend to write longer, hopefully informative posts and loathe publishing a blog site where every post is a summary of someone else's blog post or article.

Niels Bjergstrom on national ID systems
[The Identity Corner] With regard to the UK bill I am not going to argue with it here although - technical issues aside - it certainly is an obnoxious piece of legislation, moving the relationship between state and citizen several hundred years back, introducing important components of a totalitarian state by stealth - the ID card part is in a way the least important. It is a piece of legislation that does not belong in a democratic country (which of course, given the role of the unelected House of Lords, the UK isn’t anyway).

[Gotzeblogged] While this is consistent with Danish traditions of public management, many people interviewed for this review felt that more mandatory e-government requirements would help achieve even stronger results - especially in relation to adoption of the Danish "enterprise architecture" and related technical standards. Government-wide adoption of the enterprise architecture and standards for such things as ICT system and data interoperability is now widely acknowledged by OECD countries as being leading-edge e-government practice, supporting objectives such as increased efficiency, collaborative services delivery, and increased competitiveness of ICT industries.
